What makes Box Hill a great place to raise a family?
It has some of the best schools in the area and a fantastic public transport network. There’s also some great parks including Box Hill Gardens and Surrey Park.
What does Box Hill have that other suburbs don’t?
Box Hill is widely regarded as Melbourne’s ‘second CBD’. It has a vast array of shops, eateries, offices, educational facilities, hospitals and all modes of public transport.
Has there been any development that has made a difference to the suburb?
Box Hill Central is still relatively new after its renovation, but it has brought a lot of exciting retailers to the area. There are a lot of major developments currently underway that will continue to contribute positively to Box Hill.
Are there community groups in the area that are suitable for elderly people?
There are plenty of social groups, churches and organisations that operate out of Box Hill; facilities including Aqualink and Box Hill RSL/Bowls Club are especially popular. The area is also well-serviced when it comes to medical facilities with Box Hill Hospital and Epworth Eastern both located centrally.
