PhilipWebb Sales Consultant Michael Webb was named Outstanding Young Agent of the Year at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria’s (REIV) Awards for Excellence on October 27.
The award recognises excellence in young real estate professionals who are committed to quality customer service, initiative and innovation, continuous improvement, ethics and good practice.
This year’s winners and finalists raised the bar in a range of real estate sectors, with a record number of entries.
Michael, who is the youngest member of the Webb family, worked as a carpenter for six years before joining his family’s real estate business. His empathy for clients doing it tough helped sway the judges.
Michael joined the company as a Sales Cadet in 2014 before working his way up to a Sales Consultant role.
Like all PhilipWebb agents, Michael has undergone vigorous training and attended numerous educational courses and conferences presented by the likes of Tom Panos, Rik Rushton, Harry Li, Michael Sheargold, Lee Woodward and Josh Phegan.
Looking to the future, Michael has aspirations to become a Licensed Estate Agent and Auctioneer like his father and brother before him. His goal is to join his brother Anthony and play a vital role in continuing the traditions of the company into the next generation.
Father and agency Director Philip Webb couldn’t be more proud of his son’s progress.
“Michael has proven himself capable and quickly established himself to be a popular figure with both colleagues and clients alike,” said Philip.
“I am so pleased that he has chosen to pursue a career in real estate. He’s a natural. He cares about people and I am very proud of his achievements. His enthusiasm and drive is something to be admired and we can expect even greater things from him in the future.”
“We congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.”
